Meet the Tías

Legal Representative: Olga Díaz

Olga Díaz is the founder of the foundation, which she established in 1980, and has dedicated the past 45 years of her life to its mission. From the beginning, she had the hope of creating a home for 20 children over a span of 20 years—a dream that grew into a community much more profound than she could have hoped. The past 25 years she has developed the foundation’s club initiatives. Olga has played a key role in securing financial support both nationally and internationally, allowing the foundation to expand its impact. In addition to supporting children, she has also ensured that elderly individuals find companionship and care within the foundation. For Olga, what makes the foundation truly special is the love, warmth, and family spirit that define everything they do.

Director: Carola Tapia Vallejos

Carola Tapia Vallejos lives in the comuna of Puente Alto, Chile. She joined the foundation in 2007 through a personal contact, and since then she has served as Executive Director and Head of Finance. For Carola, the most special aspect of the foundation is, without a doubt, the children: the unconditional love they give, often without even knowing you or knowing much about you. Their affection brings joy and can make you smile, even in the most difficult moments.

Social Worker: Angelica Zavala

Angélica Zavala lives in the district of La Granja, Chile. She came to the foundation in 2022 thanks to a sister from her congregation. She currently works as a Social Worker for the foundation. For Angélica, the most special part of the foundation is the affection she receives from both the children and the elderly, and seeing how they feel that the club is their home—a place where they feel welcomed, valued, and part of a family.

Dance/Folklore Instructor: Tania Carolina Tapia

Tania Carolina Lillo Tapia lives in the comuna of Puente Alto, Chile. She has been part of the foundation since March 2022 and currently works as the instructor of the fun dance and folk dance workshops. Since she was very young, Tania has been coming to the foundation to participate in its activities. For her, the most special part of the foundation is the affection the children give every time she comes to teach, and how they make her feel special and loved.

Tutor: Bernardita Orellana

Bernardita Orellana lives in the district of La Granja, Chile. She has been part of the foundation since March 2024, working directly with children, youth, and the elderly. Bernardita was referred to the foundation by a social work collegue. For her, the most special part of her work is the familial relationship she has with the children, youth, and elderly, creating strong bonds and connections that make her feel deeply valued.
